Ottoman cuisine is a deeply rooted cuisine that emerged and was shaped in the palaces of Istanbul in the 15th century. In fact, since a multicultural structure was dominant in the Ottoman lands at that time, we can say that it was a hybrid cuisine influenced by many cultures and cuisines. We can easily say that it is a good combination of Balkan and Middle Eastern cuisines. History and Development of Ottoman Cuisine
Ottoman dishes, or to put it differently, Ottoman palace cuisine, began to take shape in the 15th century, as we mentioned before. It has emerged by blending the cuisines of many countries and cultures around the world. Especially meat dishes, the spices and fruits used in the dishes have made this cuisine unique. Over time, it was shaped and changed according to the tastes of the Ottoman sultans. In the 16th century, more magnificent recipes and richer ingredients emerged in the kitchen, where a small and simple culture was adopted in the early 15th century. Likewise, Ottoman cuisine continued to preserve its splendor in the 17th and 18th centuries.

The Most Famous Ottoman Dishes
Ottoman cuisine has recipes that are very famous and known in many parts of the world. In fact, while all dishes are magnificent and must be passed on for generations, there are some dishes that have surpassed others. The most famous Ottoman dishes are as follows;

Mutancana is an excellent recipe combining magnificent lamb meat with fruits such as grapes, dried apricots and plums.
Hünkar liked it is one of the most beautiful forms of eggplant. This recipe is cooked in every restaurant, restaurant and most importantly at home today.
Stuffed melon, which has been remembered and popularized recently, is also one of the most important dishes of Ottoman cuisine.
Keshk, keşkül, eggplant pilaf, wedding soup, queen's finger, helatiye, basil sherbet and tamarind sherbet are other important dishes and beverages from Ottoman cuisine that have survived to the present day. Ottoman food culture must be known and practiced. Because the most important feature of the recipes cooked in this kitchen is that they are natural, delicious and very useful.
